Halle's Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

This is my cousin, Halle's, pasta salad. I love a good pasta salad... So this is one that i have made and enjoyed... I used weird macaroni noodles that I don't recommend, so probably use your favorite noodle like bowtie or rotini. Hope you like it!

Halle's Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad
1 16 oz. box Rotini (or other noodles) cooked according to package directions, drain and cool
2 lb. bacon, cooked, drained, cooled- then crumbled
2-3 c. grated cheddar cheese
4-6 grilled skinless chicken breast cut into cubes
Mayonnaise
1/2 c. Ranch Dressing
salt
pepper
season salt

In a large mixing bowl combine pasta, cooled crumbled bacon, grilled chicken (cooled completely) and grated cheese. Mix well. Add desired amount of mayonnaise, ranch and seasonings. Taste and add more seasonings as needed.  Stir all ingredients together. Serve.

Skor Cake

This is an easy recipe that is so so good. This was the dessert we made with the meatballs.

Skor Cake

1 pkg chocolate cake
1 can sweetened condensed milk
caramel ice cream topping
1 tub whipped cream
heath or skor bar (we used heath toffee bits)
Make cake according to package directions. Poke holes all over the cake with a toothpick. Let cool. Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk over cake (you may not need the whole can). Let it seep into the holes. Spread whipped cream over the milk. Top with caramel and crushed candy.

Pecraba Salad

This is a salad that I came up with the other night to go with dinner. There isn't a specific amount of ingredients... just use as much as you like.

Pecraba Salad

Lettuce
Cheese
Cucumber
Tomato
Toasted Pecans
Craisins
Bacon Bits
Combine all ingredients and top with your favorite dressing.

Hawaiian Meatballs

This is another one of my aunts recipes. (Yes, I steal a lot of her recipes, but what can you do, there just that good). I was babysitting for my uncle and he has complained that we make dinner for his sister but not him, so I spent the day making bread and Alyssa came over and we made these for dinner for him. These are really sweet, so if you don't want them to be as sweet don't add as much pineapple or sugar.

Hawaiian Meatballs

2 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 c crushed cornflakes (or rice crispies)
2 eggs, beaten
2 TBS soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp pepper
Mix with hands. Either cook on a skillet or in the oven @ 350 for 25-30 minutes.

SAUCE:
1 can pineapple, tidbits or crushed
1/2 c vinegar
1 TBS ketchup
2 TBS soy sauce
1 1/2 c brown sugar
3 TBS flour
2/3 c water
Heat water and brown sugar on stove top. Add the rest of the ingredients and heat. Pour sauce over meatballs and serve with rice.

Julie's White Bread

This is a recipe that I spent my Sunday making. I made a couple mistakes, all of which I fixed and this has been my first successful yeast bread!! It is delicious. You can substitute the flour for wheat flour, and if you have gluten add 2/3 c. and 2/3 c. of powdered milk when you add the water, sugar, salt, and oil. It isn't a must but helps keep it moist longer, especially wheat bread. It makes 3 loaves. This is really a 1/2 recipe, if you double it, it makes 6 loaves (yes, 3 x 2 = 6 :]). It is really good bread, and you can freeze it too.

Julie’s White Bread
1 TBS yeast
½ TBS sugar
1 c. lukewarm water
Let sit for 15 minutes then add
3 cups HOT tap water
½ c sugar
1 TBS salt
1/4 c. oil
Turn on mixer and add
5 c. flour
Mix for 10 minutes then turn
off mixer and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Turn on mixer and add
4 c. flour
Mix 6 minutes. Move to a large well greased bowl and cover with a hot damp cloth. Let rise until double. Punch down and let rise again until double. Knead the dough and form into 3 loaves (can also make rolls or cinnamon rolls, just reduce the cooking time). Put loaves in WELL GREASED pans. Let rise just until the dough bubbles over the rim. Bake at 350 for 27-30 min. Remove from pans while still hot. Spread butter on top. :) Enjoy!!!

Better than Winger's Asphalt Pie

My cousin and I like to go and make dinner for our aunt and uncle every once in a while. We like to make things we haven't tried before and give luck a shot. We always make a dessert. My cousin, Alyssa, always comes up with great ideas. We put together this classic dessert, added our own touch and our aunt said it was better than Winger's. It is super easy and delicious! (fyi, I plan on posting pictures with the recipes eventually)

Asphalt Pie

1 oreo pie crust
1 carton mint choc. chip ice cream
1 regular size tub whipped topping
caramel syrup
chocolate syrup
mint chocolate candies
(Ideas: mint 3 musketeers, mint truffle kisses, and peppermint patties)
Fill the pie crust with ice cream and and freeze until solid.
While that is freezing unwrap mint candies (enough to put on top of pie) and put in the freezer. Thaw whipped topping.
When your pie is frozen take it out and spread whipped topping on it. Then drizzle with caramel and chocolate syrup and top with crushed candies :) enjoy!!!!!

Cinnamon Waffles w/Syrup

Yesterday I was home with Ashlee and I wanted to make something for breakfast. We didn't have any bread so I decided to come up with this twist on regular waffles from a mix. It was really easy and pretty tasty.

Cinnamon Waffles w/Syrup

2 cups Krusteaz pancake mix
1 3/4 cups water
2 TBS oil
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Mix all ingredients and cook in a hot waffle iron.

Syrup
1 cup mapel syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Combine ingredients and heat in the microwave for 30 sec.
